How to cure a smelly Washing Machine – clear limescale

Because we wash our clothes at 30 or 40 degrees and use different combinations of powders and liquids, limescale builds up in the washing machine which can effect the wash performance , main problems are in hard water areas where limescale builds up inside the drum,drain pump,hoses,heater element and creates a black mould on the door gasket and dispenser assembly. The best way to cure this problem is to use a good brand name descaler or one recommended by the manufacturer of your appliance – put the contents inside the drum, switch on to a 60 degree wash program and run this without the clothes. This routine service should be done every three months
